My “Water for Tami” sculpture is of a man named Bob Sundown and his burro, Tami. Connie and I were on our way to an art show in Tucson, Arizona and not far from the Mexican border in Deming, New Mexico we saw a rundown old sheep wagon beside the road. We stopped to get a photo and met Bob with his burro. He said it was getting too hot and he planned to hitch Tami to the wagon and head for Idaho. We don't know what happened to them but they weren't there on our next trip through the area!
