My “Something in the Wind” sculpture is of a grizzly bear that I observed in the North Fork of the Flathead River near Glacier National Park. I worked for the United States Forest Service in that area for five years and had the opportunity to come into close contact with many different animals and birds. This was an encounter that I will never forget.
This bear is not aggressive but rather testing the wind to avoid danger by moving on to safer ground.
